Good toy July 17, 2010 C. Ott (Lancaster, Pa.) I don't really know much about the baby Einstein Octopus except my daughter says her son loves it and plays with it often.
travel buddy July 8, 2010 kimmarie This is one of my sons favorite toys. We take it along in the car for company. It's too cute and it always brings a smile to his face. My one complaint is that the yellow tab stopped working today. Bummer. We haven't even had it a year yet.
Cute June 9, 2010 VAreader (VA, United States) My son loves this toy and smiles at it all the time. He can make the music start easily. Right now he mostly tries to eat it but eventually I think the colored legs will be neat. The music is fun and not tiresome. My only complaint is that it tends to fall over because of the heavy soundbox. It would be nice if it could stay on the floor so my son could look at it when he is on his tummy. The version I bought didn't have the hook on top but I bet that is a nice addition to take along in the stroller.
NOT PLUSH!! May 18, 2010 Fish Lady (NY) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
So I was looking for a really good toy for my 4 month old, and believed all the great reviews I read here. I could not be more disappointed with what arrived. I thought the fabric would be soft, maybe velour. Instead is it some horrible scratchy artificial fabric. The head of the octopus contains a big heavy sound box with a horrible velcro flap on the back to let you change the languages etc. But it means that the head is not at all soft to hug (almost heavy and hard enough to bruise, not to mention scratchy). It is so heavy, the thing won't even sit up without falling over. Finally, it is not really very well made - the images on the tentacles are not centered properly, and the buttons within the tentacles are small and difficult to find - how is my baby supposed to hit those!?! Come to think of it, the music isn't very inspired either.
Maybe this is now being manufactured from cheaper materials? Is Baby Einstein that hard up?
Great! April 26, 2010 V. Lincoln (NY state) The music and speaking are very clear, but not too loud. It is easy to push to make play, and very cute!
