 Just Ok - Mattress caves in the middle August 16, 2010

I ordered this for my twins thinking it would be a safe way to keep them together, but separate just home from the hospital. The concept is great and the item was just okay...the problem I have with it is that the mattress caves in the middle so the right side of the left bassinet and the left side of the right bassinett dip down and does not seem totally safe since you either have to lay the babies on the part that is "up" or the part that is caved in. Definitely not worth the price with this flaw! Would not reccommend but there arent many other twin bassinet pack n plays out there that I have seen!

My husband and I received this bassinet as a gift from his parents since we are having twin girls. We wanted to have something in our bedroom for the first couple of months since I know there will be lots of late night feedings and what not. At first the size of it is intimidating but again what do you expect, it is built for two babies. After having it already set up in our bedroom it doesn't seem as large anymore. My husband had a really easy time setting it up. It was to heavy for me to lift right now. Once the twins will be sleeping in their cribs, we will be moving it out to the living room. I like how it has wheels for easy moving and it collapses down easily enough. I am very pleased with the playard and can't wait to begin using it. I would say if you are having twins, this is a must! It also arrived in about 5 days and I live overseas. I was very impressed.

Although I have not used the bassinets for the twins yet (we are still anxiously awainting their debut) The pack 'n play set up very quickly, it's sturdy and can't beat the value. This was the only twin bassinet I could find.

This would otherwise be a great item, but the fact that the folding mattress caves in and does not lie flat under the bassinets makes for a potentially disastrous situation. With current knowledge of SIDS you'd think that Graco would be more aware of this. The babies can roll towards the middle because of this flaw and possibly suffocate.

We ordered this item from Amazon on a Friday Morning from the hospital and it was delivered on Saturday - the next day with free shipping - unbeatable!
After a quick assembly we were able to bed our twin couple minutes after we came home from the hospital. We use it in the living room during the day when the twins do not nap in their crib. The bassinets offer enough space for each child and keep light out for more a peaceful nap time. Netting around the bottom of each bassinet ensures ample movement of air and prevents kids from sufficating. The color is nice for placing it in living rooms. When the twins grow out of the bassinet part we are planning on using the play yard as it is bigger as other play yards for singeltons.
The only cons I can think of is that the mattress pad sinks in in the middle between the bassinets and occasionally we find the twins both rolled into the middle. We are considering putting some kind of support underneath the bassinets to eliminate the dipping.
