The New Sophie July 9, 2010 brookerains (NY, NY) I bought two of these for friends because Sophie is everywhere and I wanted to give them something different. Both of their babies (and older kids) love gnawing on it.
Sophie? Who's Sophie? It's Chan all the way! June 24, 2010 SWARD (Portland, OR) I learned about the Sophie the Giraffe from a mom's group I am a part of, and decided to look for a better deal on Amazon.com for the Sophie. This is where I had read some reviews about Sophie, and that some parents complained about a possible choking hazard. This then directed my attention to Chan. I love the fact that he is shaped like a pacifier since my little girl is a pacifier addict. We got it for her at about 3 months, and she has grown pretty fond of it. She now chomps on it like crazy. I have had no problems with color fading or cleaning it. She also likes to bite on his feet, which is a little tougher than his head. Overall, I thought it was a great deal (at the time of purchase I got it for $11 and sophie was $19. Go Chan!
The only teether my son will use! May 11, 2010 E. J. Beezhold (WV) My son has never been interested in teether's or understood that you are supposed to chew on them until we got this teether. It is super soft so it squeaks really easy and he loves that so he bangs it on everything. He loves to chew on every inch of this toy especially the head because I think it reminds him of a nipple. You can't got wrong with this teether, it is worth the price to me.
Difficult to keep clean and dry April 24, 2010 Yen (Tampa, Florida) Directions say to gently surface clean but this didn't seem good enough. While quickly rinsing, it took in water that was never able to be fully squeezed out. Not to mention, while baby chews on it, it sucks in her saliva as well. Get the Sophie- no problems with that toy under similar circumstances.
I don't know bout this little guy! April 21, 2010 Evalani Alvarez (BEL AIR, MD, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
So this toy is pretty cute and is shaped well, so that my munchkin can grab his neck and get a good bite of his head. The down side is that Chan makes the WORST squeaky noise you can imagine! So very loud even if you just barely touch him. Chan is also made of the type of material that attracts every speck of dust/lint/hair that is in the air and gets really dirty easily. He also is a little flimsy, not as tough as I would have liked...so far I don't know if he was worth the the money. Sophie is on her way, lets hope she is better!!
