Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Walking Wings helps baby learn to walk balancing more naturally, hands-free, and experiencing fewer falls. This unique padded support vest easily fastens around the chest of the baby and has two adjustable, detachable straps with padded handles for your comfort. It's healthier for baby's shoulders (no tugging on little arms) and kinder to parent's backs (no more bending over!). Pediatrician recommended for babies learning to walk. Walking Wings is based on average chest size from 9 month to 4 year old children. Walking Wings fits from a 19" to 26" inch Chest Circumference.

4 out of 5 stars Great for anyone with a bad back!   July 21, 2010
K. Brunton
I ordered this product specifically because I have had multiple back surgeries and I wanted to take part in helping my son learn to walk. This product is great for that. It allows me to walk with him and help him keep his balance without being bent over at the hips holding him up, or walking on my knees.

When I first put it on him he was a little confused and was more interested in what it was and why it was on him. I say it took at least 3 times before my son was able to not be distracted by it and resume another activity. Also, when i first started using this my son was just learning to stand and he was not ready to walk yet. So this product allowed me to help my son just stand and work on balance and coordination.

The only con that I have run into with this product is he becomes uncomfortable after a while. When he loses his balance or I have to really pull up on the straps the material does end up under his armpits not matter how tight you put it on. Obviously the tighter it is on the less it will ride up, at the same time you want it to be a comfortable and enjoyable activity for your child. When I used this product on him while he was shirtless or in a onsie the product did not ride up as easily. Shirtless has worked the best by far, I am just lucky it is summer time here.

I do recommend this product to reduce strain on the caretakers body. I also believe that my son is gaining more confidence in his standing and walking skills because I am not right on his level holding him.

1 out of 5 stars Disappointing   July 20, 2010
Hannah (usa)
I got this item off my gift registry and I was very excited about it at the time. When my daughter turned 8 months old I tried to put it on her and help her with standing up and walking. She did not like it at all and it seemed very uncomfortable!! (see other reviews who gave one star. we had the exact same problems!!) I would not recommend this to anybody! disappointing product!!

3 out of 5 stars Like, but didn't use   June 30, 2010
K. Angle (Ravenna, Ohio USA)
I have a bad back, so when I came across this, I couldn't believe it and had to have it. I used it maybe twice, because my son hated it! Too restricting and it's also very hot! I gave it a three because it does the job and if your infant doesn't mind being "tied up" and restricted it would be great. Not for us.

5 out of 5 stars SAVED MY BACK!   June 4, 2010
A. Johnson (Wyoming)
Our energenic 8 month-old loves to walk with us holding his hands. For parents, you know the pressure this puts on your back! Problem solved with this product! Easy to use - just put child's arms through, wrap around upper torso and it has a tight velcro closure so it's secure and comfortable. Our son is happy and we are happy! Excellent product and a back-saver!!

2 out of 5 stars is ok   May 23, 2010

My daughter uses this product as a jumping toy more than she does a walking assist. if I had it my way I would get my money back for it. not worth the money I paid for it. I know sad review but it is the truth.
